New COMPETENCE FACTORY handed over to Factory Manager Jörg Nauel

After just 27 months of planning and construction time, the construction project team – headed up by Mr. Ulrich Baumann and Mr. Thomas Luippold – officially handed the new factory over to Factory Manager Jörg Nauel.

The new production hall was constructed in record time – in fact, it was completed in less than twelve months. With the large-scale expansion of the company headquarters at the Tuttlingen site, BINDER has set the course for the future and laid the foundations for continued growth. The new production hall – the BINDER COMPETENCE FACTORY – is where all sheet metal working and device carcass construction will take place in the future. The work involved erecting a state-of-the-art plant over approximately 8,300 m² of space. On March 21, 2017, the project team faced the BINDER COMPETENCE FACTORY one last time. After months of intensive collaboration, those responsible looked out over the new factory on the BINDER GmbH company premises in Gänsacker, Tuttlingen with pride. The only trace of the many tradesmen who had bustled around the site for the last few months is a few clean, shiny pieces of equipment. The team worked extremely hard on completing the new building, meaning that it was finished even quicker than scheduled. On this day, Jörg Nauel, Vice President Manufacturing & Sourcing, was officially presented with the key to the new factory. In the next few months, he will be responsible for the process of moving into the new plant. Bending and punching work, taking place as part of installing the new high-bay warehouse and relocating the large machine park for the purposes of the pre-assembly stage, is scheduled for completion by mid-August. “While I have been taking care of ongoing production, you have achieved great things here. Thank you for this outstanding work and the huge amount of commitment you have shown,” Jörg Nauel thanked the entire project team. He was thrilled to receive the deed during the official handover in the new company building. The production facilities in the new building will operate at full capacity as early as mid-August. The construction project will be concluded with a huge opening ceremony with employees, guests from the worlds of politics and business, and partners and friends of BINDER GmbH.
