Sometimes the true significance of technology lies not in its complexity, but in its impact on people’s lives.
St. Nikolaus Children’s Hospice is a place where families with children suffering from life-shortening illnesses are supported - with medical expertise, but above all with compassion, time, and care. Here, a space is created that offers relief while providing a sense of security.
In 2026, BINDER continues its commitment to this valuable work and is once again supporting the children’s hospice with a donation of 10,000 euros. This year, the funds will be specifically allocated to modernizing the lighting in the children’s rooms.
What may seem like a technical detail at first glance has a profound impact: the new lighting concepts combine medical requirements with a warm, personalized atmosphere. They enable the children to actively help shape their surroundings – thus creating small but meaningful moments of self-determination and well-being.
The Süddeutsche Kinderhospiz-Stiftung, the organization that runs the facility, also recognizes this commitment: “On behalf of the St. Nikolaus Children’s Hospice, we would like to sincerely thank BINDER for their continued support. Thanks to this help, we can create a safe space for families where they can draw strength, take a deep breath, and simply ‘be’ during a time full of uncertainty—a temporary place where there is room for both tears and laughter,” says Marlies Breher, Chair of the Foundation’s Board, adding: “Donations like these give families the feeling of being supported and give our team the strength to continue our work with full dedication.”
The donation was presented in person by Ingrid Binder, who has been actively involved in supporting the children’s hospice for many years:
“It is often the little things that make the biggest difference. If our support can help give the children a sense of security and improve their quality of life, then that is of inestimable value to us.”
For us as a company, this commitment reflects a clear sense of purpose: technological progress and social responsibility are inextricably linked. We see it as our mission not only to develop innovative solutions but also to make a positive contribution to society.
Special thanks go to the entire team at the St. Nikolaus Children’s Hospice, who make a difference every day through their extraordinary dedication.
Because responsibility is demonstrated in our actions.
