BINDER India: German engineering meets local expertise

In this excerpt from an interview with Michael Binder-Pfaff, CEO of BINDER, and Kuldeep Kharyal, General Manager BINDER India, they discuss why India is strategically important for BINDER, what customers expect from a reliable testing partner, and how German engineering and local expertise come together to support demanding applications.

India is one of the world’s most dynamic markets for scientific research, pharmaceuticals, automotive development and battery technologies. For BINDER, the country is therefore much more than a growth market.

“Our customers work in demanding applications where reliable and reproducible results are essential,” says Michael Binder-Pfaff, CEO of BINDER. “Our goal is to establish BINDER in India as a trusted long-term partner.”

The right solution starts with the right questions

Especially in quality- and compliance-relevant applications, it is not enough to simply provide the right chamber. Understanding the customer’s process and needs is just as important.

“Our customers are looking for more than equipment,” explains Kuldeep Kharyal, General Manager BINDER India. “They need a partner who understands their application, their process requirements and the importance of reliable results.”

This is particularly relevant in industries such as pharmaceuticals, research, automotive, EV and battery testing. In pharmaceutical stability testing, for example, temperature and humidity conditions need to remain stable and uniform over long periods. The resulting data must be reproducible, documentable and reliable.

German engineering combined with local presence

BINDER India combines the company’s technical expertise, backed by many years of experience, with local market and application knowledge.

“For us, German engineering means precision, reliability and long-term quality,” says Michael Binder-Pfaff. Kuldeep Kharyal adds: “Local presence means better understanding of our customers’ requirements, faster communication and closer collaboration.”

Support does not end once a chamber has been installed. BINDER supports customers from initial consultation and selection of the right solution through installation and qualification to service, maintenance and long-term operation.

Because technical performance alone is not enough. A solution also needs to fit the customer’s process. This is exactly where the combination of German engineering and local expertise makes a difference.

Or, as Michael Binder-Pfaff puts it: “Our goal is to create the best possible conditions for our customers’ success.”
