As bright as the sun: Modular plant growth chambers

Our new plant growth chambers combine state-of-the-art environmental simulation with a flexible modular system, offering customized solutions for a wide range of requirements at companies and research institutes.

Modular and personalized: Climate chamber meets LED plant light

The latest generation of humidity test chambers and refrigerated incubators are used in combination with the LED plant light module and can be converted into plant growth chambers in no time at all. Thanks to the unique modular principle, the basic units can be converted individually and thus adapted to changing requirements.

The LED lighting system itself has also been designed with maximum flexibility in mind: A light control box with program controller and 16 individually positionable LED strip lights enables simulation of various lighting scenarios. The strip lights are simply clipped in beneath the standard racks. Each strip light contains three individually controllable LED channels: sunlight-simulating warm white and cool white, and dark red phytochrome control light. The channels can be switched, dimmed, and programmed in real time independently of each other using the intuitive control unit. In addition, the system features a twilight function and a fresh air function.

Natural light for optimum plant growth

The BINDER LED plant light module creates lighting scenarios in the climate chamber that resemble natural sunlight. If maximum brightness is required, all 16 strip lights can be mounted next to each other – in this case the irradiance (PAR) reaches the intensity of sunlight. The white color channels are similar to sunlight in their spectrum. The ratio of warm white and cool white can simulate autumnal light conditions, for example, to deliberately encourage seed formation.

The new plant growth chambers are also impressive in terms of sustainability and energy efficiency, and make a valuable contribution to sustainable research and resource preservation:

Five sizes – The right plant growth chamber for every application

The plant growth chambers are available in five different sizes: in addition to the free-standing units with a volume of 260, 470, 720 or 1060 liters, an extra-large version with a volume of 1600 liters is also available.
