We are happy to report, however, that we will be once again be reporting stable incoming order levels for the 3rd quarter of this year. The newest and smallest member of the CB family of CO2 incubators from BINDER GmbH is specially designed for the extreme requirements demanded by in vitro fertilization and cell therapy. This model also benefits from BINDER’s advanced production technology know-how and the advantages offered by serial production. Among the special features is the deep-drawn one-piece inner chamber without any corners or sharp edges, which means that this latest addition to the BINDER family features the same technical innovations offered by the other models in this series. Univ. Prof. Ludger Hengst, director of the section for medical biochemistry at the Innsbruck Biocenter, was recently awarded the prestigious Binder-innovation prize for 2009. The prize, which was presented to the 1st Combined Annual Meeting of the German and Swiss Societies for Cellular Biology in Constance, honors the biochemist's research in the area of cellular cycle control over the last 15 years.

In recent years, German high-tech companies have suffered due to competition from cheap products sold primarily by manufacturers from Asia, who are copying German technical developments. For their work in the development of a new form of fluorescent, antigen-binding nanobodies known as chromobodies, the German Society for Cell Biology (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Zellbiologie e.V.) awarded Dr. Heinrich Leonhardt and Dr. Ulrich Rothbauer the BINDER Innovation Prize at its 2008 annual meeting. BINDER GmbH, the global leader of specialized simulation cabinets for scientific and industrial laboratories, has awarded this €4,000 prize for excellent achievement in the biomedical sector since 1998.

Binder temperature chamber to assist medical care in Peru

In Peru, for example, BINDER supports the charitable Diospi Suyana Organization. Binder has donated a temperature chamber valued at €2,000 to the Diospi Suyana Hospital in Curahuasi, Peru.
