Family-owned company BINDER is investing in its Tuttlingen site by means of a large-scale expansion of its headquarters. Initial preparations for this new "Competence Campus" have already been put in place. Through this investment, BINDER is set to create more jobs within the region going forward.
Tuttlingen – BINDER GmbH, the world's leading specialist in simulation chambers for scientific and industrial laboratories, is on a trajectory of growth. Over the coming years, it plans to establish multiple new buildings at its Tuttlingen site – a large-scale project named "Competence Campus" which will see the entire company premises undergoing several stages of development. The initial preparatory construction work began back in August 2015, and the groundbreaking ceremony for the first new building – the BINDER COMPETENCE FACTORY – is set for April 2016. The work will involve erecting a state-of-the-art plant over approximately 8,300 m² of space. The new production hall is where all sheet metal working and device carcass construction will take place in the future. An extensive parking level for BINDER employees will be created in the building at the same time. The areas of the existing facility that are freed up during the project will be used for a generous expansion of the individual assembly areas. "The BINDER brand stands for superior quality and absolute precision", states Managing Director Peter M. Binder. "That is what we aim to achieve, and all the planning for this building project is focused on this. Every part of the construction work, down to the smallest detail, is being carried out with our needs in mind – which themselves are, of course, based on what our customers look for."
The project includes a complex master plan and will serve as the basis for all future building projects. Development of the premises is taking place in stages, the intention being to ensure that internal processes can be coordinated perfectly with one another every step of the way – leading to the best possible results. The project is being planned and executed by renowned architectural firm RSE, based in the city of Kassel.
Through this investment, BINDER is continuing to demonstrate its commitment to Germany as a high-tech hub and is set to create more jobs within the region going forward.
