The FDL Series safety drying chamber from BINDER, the world's largest specialist in climate chambers for scientific and industrial laboratories, was developed specifically to meet these requirements. BINDER insists that its drying chambers meet current safety requirements and always be state of the art. The Tuttlingen-based company has just had its GS seal of approval for verified safety renewed. BINDER is currently the only manufacturer on the market whose safety drying chamber bears the GS seal of approval and also meets the safety requirements of the current version (2009) of DIN EN 1539. This drying chamber thus meets all the required safety measures for ovens and chambers in which the vaporization or curing of coating materials releases volatile compounds.
A temperature range of up to 300 °C is standard on the BINDER drying chamber. A fresh-air filter cartridge keeps the interior of the chamber free of particulates. The cartridge is easy to replace without the risk of contaminating samples. The interior of the chamber is silicone free so there is no risk of surface flaws or paint flaking. Uniform air circulation in the interior of the chamber and high temperature resistance ensure short drying times and guarantee high performance with low energy consumption. The usable space is 600 mm wide so that more samples can be arranged side by side and larger samples can be dried. Nevertheless, the drying chamber's compact dimensions require little space and make the unit perfect for use in the laboratory. Moreover, the chamber can be customized to the customer's specific requirements. It is therefore possible to equip the chamber with an optional extension for coil coating so that the drying process for samples of thin coil-coated sheet metal can be accelerated during production or in the laboratory without excessive heat loss.
