The BINDER COMPETENCE FACTORY is beginning to take shape – building works are right on schedule
Tuttlingen – September 20, 2016: We have reached another milestone in the BINDER GmbH COMPETENCE FACTORY construction project. On September 20, tradesmen and the BINDER project team celebrated the topping-out ceremony for the 8,300 m² state-of-the-art factory in Gänsacker, Tuttlingen. Within the space of just a few weeks, a colossal concrete landscape has emerged from the unused farmland. The foundations, installation of the concrete prefabricated elements, and the concreting work were completed in next to no time for the parking level and the central staircase. Steel workers were at work as early as the start of August and this was followed by the installation of the facade. Ulrich Baumann of Baumann Bauconsult GmbH & Co. KG opened the celebration by greeting the builders and approximately 80 guests. Managing partner Peter M. Binder had a great deal of praise to give: "I am overwhelmed by the terrific result and am astonished at the enormous progress you have made here in the last 4 months." Architect Thomas Frauenkron also addressed the guests: "I have a huge amount of respect for the tradesmen here at this construction site. Nowadays, you can no longer guarantee that you will find good tradesmen who are prepared to battle the elements." Jörg Stocker, director of Karl Stocker Bauunternehmen GmbH, made the closing remarks: "At Stocker, we are thrilled to be playing an active role in the future of BINDER. This topping-out ceremony just shows how BINDER is guided by positive values." Site manager Matthias Winter and Stocker foreman Klaus Matheis gave the traditional topping-out speech.
With fall very much in the air, the construction site took an afternoon off. Tradesmen, the BINDER project team, building planners, and Mr. and Mrs. Binder enjoyed a hearty meal in a relaxed atmosphere.
Coinciding with the completion of the outer facade in October will be the start of heating, ventilation, and plumbing works for the building interior.
We are exactly on schedule, which in a building project of this complexity and scale is far from guaranteed.reports project manager Thomas Luippold
