BINDER honored for innovative capacity

December 2018 Major accolade

BINDER is one of the most innovative companies in Germany

BINDER is one of the ten most innovative companies in Germany according to the business magazine “WirtschaftsWoche”, which analyzed the innovative capacity of 3,500 medium-sized enterprises.

Innovative products and processes were at the top of BINDER GmbH's agenda in 2018. This has now been recognized by “WirtschaftsWoche”, which has named BINDER as one of the ten most innovative companies in Germany. The company, which is based in Tuttlingen, was delighted to receive this accolade, particularly given its focus on developing new products in 2018. The global company's recent achievements include a new CB 170 incubator, a completely new product line, the Solid.Line, as well as the switchover to environmentally friendly refrigerants.

“WirtschaftsWoche” analyzed 3,500 companies in its study; 400 were then shortlisted and given an innovation score. The final result was based on a combination of sales and profit development (one third of the score) and innovative capacity (two thirds). The study examined the nature and quantity of innovations launched by the company in question as well as its expenditure for research and development. The evaluation also took into account how innovative a company's competitors thought it was.

With above-average results in every category, BINDER was delighted to come tenth in the Germany-wide rankings. The Tuttlingen-based company's courage and determination to develop new products and innovations really paid off in 2018. Alongside the prestigious accolade from “WirtschaftsWoche”, BINDER also achieved an increase in sales of 15 percent – excellent news for the company's 400+ employees and for CEO Peter Michael Binder alike.

The latter is not resting on his laurels:

“We are proud of this accolade and intend to maintain our leading position as an innovator in the future!”
